MessageYes, as per the context, I was referring to *romantic* love.
Speaking more generally, of love all-inclusive,
when the heart fills up with love, a "logic gate" is
activated in the body which asks the question, "is this
someone I feel a jing/kidney/sexual attraction to?". If
the answer is yes, then the process I referred to earlier
proceeds unimpeded; otherwise, a subroutine is triggered
which terminates further development. Examples of
subroutine triggers are relatives, children, genders
you aren't attracted to (i.e. sexual orientation), etc.
Of course, a natural follow-up question to this analysis
would be: "Does this mean that the love for a romantic
partner eventually exceeds that of love for others?"
The answer is yes.
In fact, there is a what I would call, a healthy love
hierarchy . . . (stay tuned)
