WOW! Thanks Michael for sharing. Is there a dvd, cd, or book that gets into the tones of the 8 directions. I am really getting into the idea of the enrgy of sound. I have always known that sound was in fact energy but I have never really grasped the full implications of that concept. I am just starting to fully apprectiate the depth of the idea that sound is creation. I mean just look at M theory; the two membranes slapping together created the whole of the Universe. That slapping, and all that came from it, was created by sound. The famous Zen Koan " what is the sound of one hand clapping?", should go: "what is the sound of two membranes slapping?"
I will definitely be working to hone my listening skills, as I can feel the diferent directions but I don't think I have gotten into listening to them. I want to get to that level. I will just have to practice until my ears get as subtle as my eyes. Thanks again,
