MessageWhat about the transmission from the Earth,Sea,Trees, Stars etc? What about shamans who interact (not necessarily worship) with gods, nature spirits, power animals etc. These beings are personified forces of nature with their own autonomy and their own connection to centre not dumbed down transmissions. Balanced interaction with them doesn't take you away from your centre anymore than interaction with humans takes you away from your centre. Imbalanced worship is another matter.
Deified humans,demigods or immortals are humans who have merged with their divine nature and have come to be associated with divine beings and aspects of nature.
Many writers have suggested that the gods were deified Atlanteans, I don't agree with this for the reasons above but I do believe that historical figures took on the names of Deities and came to be associated with them as Avatars. We are all personifications of nature when it comes down to it.
The husband of Isis was Osiris, not Ra. Human Pharoahs and their consorts would have embodied their energies and thus become associated with them. This is similar to the Easter islander priests who embodied their creator-fertility god Maki-Maki or if you like the many white bearded grandads dressing up as Santa Claus.
