I've been working with some of Rawn Clarks (Bardon inspired) guided meditations. The Center of Stillness and the first two in the Archaeous series. The Center of Stillness is fascinating. It reminds me of some of the Taoist Fusion work in sealing the senses. The practice though very visual has led me to a purer state in emptiness meditation.

The Archaeous series is an interesting take on the elements. Here, there is much less visualization, and the elements are stacked, (head=fire, shoulders to midchest = air, etc) instead of as organ related. I've beeen using it to compliment standing meditation and it feels good.

I don't want to get into magic or calling elementals, but Bardons first couple exercises in IHH (and outlined in Rawn Clarks and William Misteles commentaries) seem like good ways to iron out ones psyche.

Anyone who is interested the meditations and commentaries are available free at - www.abardoncompanion.com/MP3-Links.html .

Its by no means a descendent of Taoism, but it does seem to be a sister art, or maybe 2nd cousin.

Michael
