...very yes. though in such one is cultivating one's essence and such is ching kung. and because it includes communication communication it is also shen kung. so it is alcemy. though it is a very unplastic word. so chi kung is fine start.
Like holding one part against or with the opposite part in a neutral space to establish a creative tension and cause transformation to happen?
...ultimately yes.
though 'holding one part' is tricky. one already has one part dominant. so it is more like alligning with what one is at one moment, that fully. then look around and grasp for other what one fears/blocks.
when you connect polarities, establish neutral space and the cause a transformation, it is the connecting of polarities that is the transforming
