I have noticed also:

tongue touching outside lower jaw gums.
(Thus balloning the lower lip)

It is used in sword techniques. Aikido and ninjutsu.
Intent to projecting, yang; my guess.
Do not know the instruction whether the tongue is touching upper teeth and whether is touching upper palace.
