MessagePeter Joseph is very interesting to me. I loved watching his films and look forward to watching Zeitgeist III coming out in 2010. I see his larger points having to do with the social evaluation of mankind and do agree that eventually we can live in a society that is less about monitory profit and more about the sharing of resource. I do find him (and Jacque Fresco) to be a bit cynical sometimes but never the less very positive in their visionary state. I don’t necessarily agree with all of his points but do find some of what he says very truthful and inspiring. He is someone who thinks outside the box for sure. I think his most relevant points are thinking for yourself, being transparent to change (which has some parallels to Taoism) and getting over myths as controlled systems (religion and governments), also being aware of how much our nature is conditioned by society. I do see how many people may have misinterpreted part I of the first film, but I found it very inspiring (if not necessary all actuate). How we will emerge and the detail of this process is something his films doesn’t give us perspective on, as this is too dynamic to predict. Most people I think may get stuck trying to argue this point or accuse the film of trying to tell us what this is. As I have seen some very strong feeling aginst these films.
I am not really critical of his works and find his presentational style to be inspiring and refreshing on alternative perspectives into the social structure of our race. Fascinating stuff!
Damon.
