A lot of martial artists are impatient, and that can cause any subtle energy method to fail.
Sexual cultivation should be part of a progessive training, and opening up energy channels often isn't enough either if your emotions are distorting or in other ways blocking flow in those channels.
That is why I also make my Qigong Fundamentals 3/4 (for rooting) and fusion practice (for emotinal body) a strongly suggested pre-requisite before taking on serious sexual practice. But men are impatient with their emotions and have trouble grounding their mental body/head, and so all their sexual experience ends up being limited by these unconscious factors.
