I'm delighted to see the ongoing flow of deep communication amongst those attracted to Tao.

Note: I posted a response to the long discussion below started by Jimbo- see:
The Mystery of Qigong: Where does the Impulse to Move Arise?

And of course, I've been doing qigong in a lot of Taoist Sacred Mountains, and watching how people change when they do the exact same qigong form in different sacred locations. They fill up with the chi from that place, merge with its field and its memory of many Taoist cultivators who have been there before. The qigong form seems to act as an invitation that somehow activates the natural field of the mountain, which is somehow more awake than mountains which have never been communicated with.

We had a really wonderful, fun, loving, powerful trip. The Mexican Taoists were great, warm hearted community. Toss in a couple of zany Israeli qigong fanatics, mix some long term gringo kan & li practictioners, and stir in 1.3 billion Chinese. Very tasty.

I introduced the group to Jiang Nan, one of my teachers from the Female Immortal Path (Nu Xian Pai).

In 2008 on the Dream Trip I will have Jiang Nan teach an ancient qigong form, a 7 step Big Dipper movement ceremony that puts an amazing chi wave in motion. It moves in a square pattern, feet stepping back and forth, arms and hands in bizarre mudras. I was a bit skeptical at first, last thing I want is new forms. But this one feels way older and more powerful than most I've felt.

Not as graceful or centering as wuji/primordial qigong, but a very powerful complement and a way to tap into what feels like original taoist energies.

He's also invited me to bring a group to the opening ceremony of a new College of Lao Tzu that will be opening next May. There should be hundreds of Taoists from different parts of China. A professor of Lao-ism (Tao Te Ching) with an incredible inner smile gave us a talk in the White Cloud Temple in Beijing. He will be overseeing the new program.

The site of the new college is in shandong province, eatern china, where lao tzu was born. Jiang nan helped design the feng shui, which looks perfect, a classical chinese temple at the base of White Cloud Mountain.

The trip ends up at Louguantai, Lao tzu's ascension site, in western China, so we will be tracing that entire journey to the West..... The ascension site is the most ethereal and powerful spot I've found in China.

I'm returning from this tirp with a handwritten bamboo scroll version of the Tao Te Ching, a gift from one of my Taoist friends at Huashan. I may take it up to Heavenly Mountain, it has a very cool vibe to it.

I will try to stop in here periodically, but launching Heavenly Mountain will take a lot of time over the next two weeks.....

Great to be back, smiles to all.

love, chi, blessings,
michael
