This makes a lot of sense; it is really just escapism.
I'd be curious to see a comparison done between the level of internet
addiction etc. between the Chinese culture and the American culture.
Although in the American case, I'd suspect a lot would have to do
with lack of role models, guidance, and the ability to successfully interact
with other people.
