MessageWhile I agree the combination of fire and water is what generates gold in alchemy, I doubt that is what the public in Asia is looking at. I think the marketers have simply made a mistake - that the golden pig year would be a year in which the Metal/Gold element would be dominant. For that we have to wait 24 years. I wonder whether it just the new found wealth and power in China before the 2008 Olympics have driven the need for a Golden Year.
