the danger in personal income tax law is:
1.
most countries have something called 'natural/barter income', meaning income that was not in cash (e.g. friend helps you work on your flat. esp. if he is of craft, car given by company that is not used only for business, and that must be recorded for all uses...)
that is first opening for an attack
most spendings can be attributed to such definition, and hence tax 'fraud'
2.
most tax collectors have a method called 'deducing the income from one's spending'.
this means if you spend more, you would be charged tax regardless of your income
(this method is based on existence of 'natural income'
...
usual defense in such case was 'newly found heiritage from father/mother'
(for it is usually a non-taxable income. but if you cannot prove their source of their income, your are again exposed)
and 'spending was financed by loans from friends'
(loan is not a income. but such tax shield can only be offered man of very great means, for details of his income will be checked and this must be his change money sum)
men of street wisdom often used such arguments and success rate was not 100%,a capone story shows
a better way is a loan from your company. but then you must go along with the programme. off shore, get loan, write contract,spend it, get personal bancrupcy...repeat
i am not commenting enforcers methods...:)
