Message I like hearing about others experiences in the practices. The proof is in the pudding, so to speak. If you smile and imagine water than it is cooling. Voila. It also sounds like you are aware that you need this to balance excess fire.
From what I understand and experience the inner smile taps into the Formless from which both fire and water emerge. Perhaps in the very act of opening to the mystery, She provides the experience we need...or desire.
If we are wanting healing and balance, as you seem to, than She will enter that doorway into your form as heat or cool.
As I write this it reminds me to ease off on my pushing the Mystery for my own results, but trusting that if I knock She will answer.
